The role: trainee hoarding clearance technician

You'll work on clearances across Brisbane and South East Queensland as a paid casual employee, alongside an experienced operator. A typical job looks like this:

  • Sorting and clearing. Working room by room through homes packed with belongings and rubbish, then bagging, carrying and loading it out.
  • Finding what matters. Setting aside documents, photos, cash and keepsakes for the family.
  • Cleaning and deodorising once the property is clear, so it's safe to live in, rent or sell.
  • Loading and tipping, then cleaning down the vehicle and gear at the end of the day.
  • Treating people well. Working quietly and respectfully around clients, families and property managers.

Some jobs are squalor cleaning or deceased estate clearances. Our hoarding cleanup page shows more of what the work involves.

If that puts you off, this isn't the role for you. If you're thinking "I can do that", we'd like to hear from you.
